The calculation and tracking of TCM patient units has been improved so that usage is now managed at the appointment level rather than separately for each service.
With this update:
- Units are calculated based on the total appointment duration, considering all included services together. This prevents units from being lost due to individual service rounding.
- In the authorization usage history, each Progress Note appears as a single entry showing its total duration, units used, and included services.
- In the appointment, calendar, patient profile, and print view, units are displayed once per appointment instead of being repeated for each service.
- When a service is completed, edited, billed, or deleted, the system automatically recalculates the appointment's total unit usage and adjusts only the corresponding difference.
- When multiple services from the same appointment are unchecked, the system displays a single warning if the available unit balance is insufficient, rather than generating a separate warning for each service.
This enhancement provides more accurate TCM unit calculations and makes authorization usage easier to track.
