A new Completed services tab has been added under Insurance Billing and Claims Settings, allowing companies to configure how much time must pass from the appointment date before a completed service becomes available for billing.
With this update:
- The Completed services tab now includes the Elapsed time after the appointment date for billing field.
- This setting determines the waiting period before a completed service becomes available for billing.
- The available options are:
- The next day: the service becomes available for billing starting the day after the appointment date. This is the default option and maintains the system’s previous behavior.
- Immediately: the service becomes available for billing immediately, with no waiting period.
- 24 hours: a 24-hour waiting period.
- 48 hours: a 48-hour waiting period.
- 72 hours: a 72-hour waiting period.
- 7 days: a 7-day waiting period.
- The waiting period is calculated based on the appointment date.
- TCM appointments are not affected by this change and continue to use their own configuration under the TCM appointments tab.
This enhancement provides greater flexibility in the billing workflow, allowing each company to determine when completed services should become available for billing.
