The new Accounting Dashboard organizes the different areas of the module within a single screen, with a side menu for navigation and a top action bar that adapts to the active view.
With this update:
- Access to the Dashboard requires Accounting read permission. Support users always have access.
- The screen is organized into three main areas: the side menu, action bar, and active view content.
- The side menu includes Overview, Transactions, Income, Expenses, Payrolls, and Bank Accounts.
- Transactions, Income, Expenses, and Payrolls use the same transaction view with the corresponding type automatically filtered. Each option displays the number of records within the selected date range.
- Bank Accounts is displayed only when bank accounts are enabled for the company.
- The Current position section displays the company’s current Cash in banks, Total debts, and Available credit. These are current balances and do not change based on the selected date range.
- While the previous version remains available, Back to the previous version provides direct access to it from the side menu.
- The top bar displays the name of the active view and the actions available for that section. These include New and Advanced filters for transactions, Actions and Types for bank accounts, and Generate documents and Refreshacross all views.
- Refresh requests updated data for the currently open view.
- The date selector applies to Overview and transactions and provides the quick ranges This month, Last month, Quarter to date, Year to date, and Historical.
- Select date allows users to choose a custom date range from the calendar.
- On smaller screens, the side menu remains collapsed and can be opened using the arrow on the left edge.
This structure makes it possible to review the different Accounting areas from a single workspace while keeping the relevant information and actions for each section readily available.
