The Allergies section within the patient profile allows users to record and manage the patient’s known allergies. This information is associated with the patient’s profile and can also be viewed and managed directly while documenting a service.
In Amexzone, allergies can be added in three ways: from the Allergies section of the patient profile, from the Add menu under General Information, or directly from a service/note.
Option 1: From the Allergies section
- From the main menu, go to Patients → All Patients.
- Search for and select the corresponding patient.
- From the patient profile, select Allergies from the left-side menu.
Click Add in the upper-right corner. If the patient does not have any allergies recorded yet, you can also use the Add button displayed in the center of the screen.
Option 2: From General Information
- Access the patient’s profile.
- From General Information, click Add at the top of the screen.
Select Allergies from the drop-down menu.
Option 3: From a service or note
Allergies can also be added directly while documenting a service.
- Open the corresponding service or note.
- In the patient information panel, locate the Allergies section.
- Click the + icon to add a new allergy.
Complete the corresponding information and save the record.
An allergy added from a service will automatically be reflected in the patient’s profile, so there is no need to enter it again from the Allergies section.
Complete the Allergy Information
Regardless of where the allergy is added, you can enter information such as:
- Allergy Type: Drug, Food, or Environment
- Allergen
- Severity: Very Mild, Mild, Moderate, or Severe
- Reactions
- Onset: Childhood, Adulthood, Unknown, or Choose Date
- Notes or Comments
- Active status
Once the information is complete, click Add to save the allergy.

Important: Allergies recorded during a service are associated with the patient and can later be viewed from the Allergies section of the patient profile.
