Amexzone Health allows providers to conduct Telehealth consultations directly within the platform while completing patient clinical documentation in real time.
Follow the steps below to set up, start, and manage a Telehealth session.
Step 1: Select the appropriate place of service
When creating an appointment, locate the Place of Service (POS) field and select the appropriate option based on the patient's location:
- 02 – Telehealth (Not Patient's Home): Select this option when the patient receives Telehealth services from a location other than their home.
- 10 – Telehealth (Patient's Home): Select this option when the patient receives Telehealth services from their home.
Once you have selected the appropriate place of service, click Save to create the appointment.
Step 2: Start the Telehealth session
- Open the patient's scheduled appointment.
- Access the clinical note associated with the appointment.
- On the right side of the screen, locate and click Start Telehealth.
The system will provide options to share the Telehealth session link with the patient.
Step 3: Share the Telehealth link with the patient
Select one of the available methods to share the session link:
- Email: Send the link to the patient via email.
- SMS: Share the link through a text message.
- WhatsApp: Share the link through WhatsApp.
- Copy: Copy the link to share it manually.
Choose your preferred method to provide the patient with access to the virtual consultation.
Step 4: Conduct the consultation and complete clinical documentation
Once the Telehealth video call is available, the provider can communicate with the patient while continuing to work on the clinical note.
The video call will appear within the appointment screen, allowing the provider to:
- Communicate with the patient through audio and video.
- Complete clinical documentation during the consultation.
- Use the available video call features, including microphone, camera, chat, and screen sharing.
- Continue working on the clinical note without leaving the Telehealth session.
Step 5: Reshare the Telehealth link if needed
If the patient does not receive the initial link or needs to access the session again, click Share Link within the video call panel.
The system will display the available sharing options again, allowing you to resend or copy the session link as needed.
Important note: To use this feature, the appointment must be configured with the appropriate Telehealth place of service (POS 02 or POS 10).
