In Amexzone, you can register a Patient Provider directly from the Patient Providers section or add referral information when creating or editing a patient.
Option 1: Create a Patient Provider from Patient Providers
You can directly register the person or provider who refers patients:
- Go to Patients → Patient Providers.
- Click Create New.
- Enter the Patient Provider's information.
Save the changes.
Once created, the record will be available under Patient Providers and can be used as a referral source for patients.
Option 2: Add a Patient Provider when creating a patient
You can also enter the referral source while registering a new patient:
- Go to Patients → New Patient.
- Complete the patient's information.
- In the Patient Referred by field, enter the person or provider who referred the patient.
Complete the registration and save the patient.
The information entered in Patient Referred by will automatically be added to Patient Providers and associated with the patient.
Option 3: Add a Patient Provider to an existing patient
If the patient is already registered, you can add or update their referral information at any time:
- Go to the patient's profile.
- Edit the patient's information.
- Locate the Patient Referred by field.
- Enter the person or provider who referred the patient.
- Save the changes.
The referral information will be associated with the patient and reflected under Patient Providers.
Note: You do not need to create the Patient Provider in Patients → Patient Providers first. A Patient Provider can also be registered through the Patient Referred by field when creating or editing a patient.
