The management of External Contacts has been improved to more clearly identify the purpose of each contact, expand the available information, and make contact maintenance easier.
With this update:
- When creating an external contact, users can now define its type as:
- For Referral
- For Signature
- Contacts configured For Signature are not displayed as destination options when creating a referral.
- The external contact profile now includes new fields for:
- NPI
- License Number
- Notes
- Existing external contacts can now be edited directly, without having to create a new record.
- The contact list displays the type of each contact, making it easy to distinguish referral contacts from signature contacts at a glance.
- When saving a contact, the system checks whether another external contact already exists with the same name and displays a warning to help prevent duplicates.
This enhancement provides a more organized and accurate way to manage external contacts, clearly separating their purpose within the system and making their information easier to maintain.
